Zhen tells Zach over the phone about his photography, until he hears a commotion outside involving Ju. Patima* is having an argument with her when Zhen steps outside, threatening to abandon her and Ju’s design collective.
Zhen tells Patima to leave, and Ju explains that Patima is her (now ex-) girlfriend and the design collective’s stylist and photographer. Zhen walks her to the design collective’s warehouse where she can share the news of Patima leaving. Ju introduces Zhen to the leader Reyhan as the group’s new photographer.
Zhen meets pattern-maker Ilham* and sees the fashion designs the collective is working on. Impressed by the team spirit, he agrees to join.
* Patima and Ilham seem to swap names later in the comic.
