Zhen wakes up and greets his zhens-grandfather. He leaves to prep for for work.
Zhen mills about in the darkroom of the photography shop until a knock on the door. Ju greets him, having not seen him since they worked together at an atelier a long time ago. Ju is in town for a modelling job at a design collective. She drops off some film to develop and offers Zhen tea if he comes over.
Zhen debates calling Zach, but his boss tells him to go home from work. He decides to visit Ju and call Zach from her phone. He wishes Zach a happy New Year.
Zhen explains he can’t tell Zach what’s going on with his family, and asks if he can call him from time to time. He tells Zach his name, and then has to give Ju’s phone back. Sam makes buuza for both her and Zach, and Zach makes manti.
